Some tidbits to chew on.

1)  The NHL cancelled it's season today.  I know I may be in the minority but I will miss the hockey season.  I feel bad for the true hockey enthusiast.  Those that love this sport have to be crushed.  Let's hope all of this works for the good of the future of the sport, though, I myself, cannot see how canceling a season will do that.  I am in agreement with the owners here mostly, the NHL with it's small revenues cannot compete with the other major sports and pay their players anything close to what they have been and survive. 

2)  Is it me or is Pro play getting plain boring.  The ridiculous scores I see in most of the Tours out there make me wonder how in the world those players who shoot those scores have any fun at all.  If I could shoot like that every single time, I would look for something more challenging.  I myself, will be switching to Champ play as Pro play is so far from the reality of the real game it's sad.  Miss a snap severely and land in the fairway or 10 feet from the cup, yeah, that's realistic, not.

3)  Is anyone else enjoying the success of Phil Mickleson and Tiger Woods this year?   I have nothing against Vijay Singh at all, I think he's absolutely a fantastic golfer, but to see Phil and Tiger winning has been fun.  I read the other day, if Tiger finishes 4th or better is this weeks tourney he regains the top ranking.  I am not a huge Tiger fan, I like Phil myself, but Tigers good for the game, and is one of the few who can keep people coming back.
