Links 2001 Newsletter (June 19th, 2001)

Hi there!!

We wanted to let you know that the Links Country Club is officially LIVE! You'll find more details below, but be sure to give it a good test drive and send any feedback to webmaster Mark Hulka. We also have a treat for all the budding course architects out there: Microsoft course designer Jeremy Carver will be available for all your questions during a live chat on the MSN Gaming Zone. It's summertime -- unwrap those virtual clubs and hit the links! (pun intended)

In this issue:

  • Links Country Club Now Live!

  • Live Course Design Chat with Jeremy Carver

Links Country Club Now Live!

The Links Country Club (LCC), the official portal to the Links fan community, is now live.

The goal of LinksCountryClub.com is to direct visitors to popular Links fan sites, as well as to offer original content and activities from Microsoft, such as the Links Tour and the 2001 Links VGA Tour.

By partnering with Links fan sites, LinksCountryClub.com points visitors to popular community sites for news, golf course downloads, discussion boards, and more. The LCC will help new Links players find relevant information about the game from within the burgeoning community. Think of the LCC as a portal to the community that will drive traffic to your sites!

If you have any comments, suggestions, or would like your site added to the LCC, please visit the contact page and drop Mark Hulka an email:

Live Course Design Chat with Jeremy Carver

Microsoft course designer aficionado Jeremy Carver will be available for grilling during a live chat on the MSN Gaming Zone, Friday, June 22 at 4pm PDT. The chat will be held in the Zone Theater Chat Room, so prepare your hardest questions now, and get in line to deliver them to one of Microsoft's design gurus. Who knows, maybe one of his tips might help your submission to the Armchair Architect contest and win you a round of golf with Sergio Garcia!
