The PS Swing...

Mouse Sensitivity                    Menu                    Swing Meter

Now, on to the swing. You pull the club back, you smoothly transfer the backward momentum forward, accelerating smoothly to the snap point, clicking at the exact moment the club head gets there and continue to accelerate all the way to the finish. Nothing to it, right? Sure, and pigs fly.

First off, let me suggest you place the 'tee marker', not on the club face, but further back. I use the first mark behind the club face. The reason is this, it shortens the back swing and increases your control and snap consistency. Fool around with it some. If it feels comfortable to you to place the marker on the club head and you improve consistently, then don't worry about it anymore. On the other hand, if you find you lack CHS and consistency, then by all means, try something different. I have heard of some who even place the marker further back on the swing meter to start the swing. Whatever feels comfortable to you. This tip provided by Water Dog.

I prefer the click and release method to start the swing. I click and release the mouse button, then smoothly pull the club head back, not worrying at all how far back it goes as I am totally focused on the snap point. I actually move the club head all the way to the very back of the swing meter, then move the mouse even a little bit farther setting up the transition from back swing to forward swing.  I try to make a smooth transition from back swing to my front swing. I accelerate continually through the snap point to the very front of the swing meter. I click at the snap point on my way by to a complete finish.

Swinging smoothly gets me a good CHS and a good swing path. You do not try to move the mouse quickly, rather it is a very smooth acceleration that gets you the most out of each swing. After awhile, you will stop thinking about CHS and then you can concentrate on the snap. Both are critical to good scoring using the PS swing method.

To bend the ball with PS, you will need to either hit snap early which will either draw the ball or hook it depending on the severity of the early snap or hit the snap late which will fade/slice the ball. No more will you be able to go into advanced set-up and simply select the shape of the ball flight. You are golfing again now, don't forget. Your swing determines the shot, not the selection of 2 degrees open club face and 2 degrees of out to in swing path. The 'feel' is back in the game.

Keep your mouse and mouse pad clean. I clean mine once a week and check it at least twice a week. There is nothing like having a quality mouse. They are cheap. You can pick up a Microsoft Intellimouse for under $30 on the internet. Check out www.pricewatch.com. There are other very good mice also. I use a 3M Precise Mousing Surface.  You can pick one up at Wal-Mart for under $10.
