PS Mouse Sensitivity...

The Basics                    Menu                    The Swing

As I've said earlier regarding CHS for the different clubs. Well, how do you get that CHS? You mess around with the mouse sensitivity settings, that's how. You can find the sensitivity controls under the preferences tab in the main LinksLS screen during game play and can be adjusted at any time even mid-round. A very nice feature, thank you ACCESS.

You probably will find that the default sensitivity setting will not give you adequate CHS when you first start out playing PS. This is normal and do not be discouraged. I have heard of players with settings all the way to the right (maximum sensitivity). This, I do not encourage as control is very very difficult with this setting. But, I would encourage you to move the sensitivity to the right (increase). I started out about 20 clicks left of full right. You can generate CHS but will find your club head control limited. Eventually, after some practice, you can move your sensitivity back to the left, gaining club head control without losing CHS. Everybody has their own preference. What works for one might not for another. I like this feature. You will need to decide how much control you are willing to sacrifice to get what you want for CHS or visa versa. Obviously, the best setting for you will eventually be the lowest setting that gives you the desired CHS. This will give you the maximum club head control.

My settings for all shots is default. For the first two weeks of my PS career, I used 8 clicks right of default for putting and chipping and 12 clicks left of full right for my full shots. I was long but pretty erratic too.  The goal should be to slowly wean yourself off of the far right sensitivity setting you initially need to maintain CHS.  I would suggest moving the sensitivity down one or two clicks every time you play until you reach default.  This way, you won't even notice the change.

My suggestions for fooling with the mouse sensitivity would be to go to St. Andrews, start a new game with no wind and mullies turned on. Head to the first hole and take a few swings with the default settings just to get yourself somewhat acquainted with the PS swing meter. Then, I would suggest you move the sensitivity up to say, 75% of maximum. Try a couple of swings with that setting. Or, try somewhere in between those two. When you start getting a consistent 100+CHS with the driver, settle on that sensitivity setting for awhile. Practice, practice and... you guessed it, practice some more. Remember that ctrl z will abort the shot after you have hit. This stops the ball flight animation and puts you back on the tee. This is very useful for practicing as you don't need to watch the ball flight every shot. You must have mullies on though for ctrl z to work.
